If you are new to sound, it is natural to have questions about what a session involves and what you may experience. Below are answers to some of the questions I am most often asked.
Each session begins with a conversation about how you are feeling, what has brought you here and whether there is anything you would like to explore or hold as an intention.
You will then lie comfortably on a treatment bed while I work with a carefully selected combination of singing bowls, tuning forks and other therapeutic instruments. There is no one-size-fits all protocol. Each session evolves in response to the individual and what presents itself in the moment.
At the end, we take a few moments to reflect on your experience and any insights that may have emerged.
No. Some people come with a clear intention, such as releasing stress, processing an emotion or improving sleep. Others come simply because they are curious about sound.
There is no right or wrong reason to begin. You are welcome to arrive exactly as you are.
Every session is different. Some people experience profound relaxation, a quieter mind or a sense of calm. Others may notice physical sensations, emotions, memories, imagery or new insights. Some people simply rest deeply.
There is no “right” experience, and there is no need to try to make anything happen. Your experience will be your own.
Sound may support relaxation, nervous-system regulation, emotional balance, sleep and a greater sense of wellbeing. Some guests have also reported relief from physical tension or discomfort.
However, every person responds differently, and sound work is not a replacement for medical diagnosis, treatment or professional healthcare.
Sound work is generally gentle and non-invasive, but there may be circumstances in which certain instruments or approaches need to be adapted. Before your session, you will have the opportunity to share any relevant health information or concerns.
If you are under medical care or have a condition you are unsure about, please consult your healthcare professional and let me know before booking.
Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to relax easily. You remain fully clothed throughout the session.
This depends on the individual and what brings you to the work. Some people feel that one session is meaningful, while others choose to return regularly or explore a series of sessions.
There is no prescribed number. We can discuss what feels appropriate based on your needs and intentions.
