My journey with sound began as a personal search for healing. What started as curiosity gradually became a lifelong path of learning, practice and discovery.
The more I experienced the effects of sound in my own life, the more I wanted to understand why it worked. That curiosity led me to explore both Eastern and Western approaches to sound, deepening my understanding of the relationship between sound and human wellbeing. Over the years, what began as a personal practice grew into a profession that has taken me to luxury wellness destinations, international conferences and private clients around the world.
Today, I work as an accredited sound healing specialist, visiting practitioner and trainer, helping individuals, wellness professionals and organisations discover the therapeutic application of sound.
People sometimes ask why I chose to dedicate my life to this work.
The answer has very little to do with the instruments themselves.
It's about the people.
Over the years, I've had the privilege of witnessing moments that are difficult to describe. I've seen people arrive carrying physical discomfort and leave feeling lighter in their bodies. Others have found clarity where there was confusion, experienced a quieter mind after months of constant mental chatter, or reconnected with parts of themselves they thought had been lost.
The changes people experience can unfold on physical, mental, emotional or spiritual levels. Not every session is dramatic, nor should it be. Sometimes the most meaningful shifts are the quiet ones, a better night's sleep, a new perspective, a sense of calm, or simply feeling more like yourself again.
These moments continue to remind me why I do this work. There is a deep sense of fulfilment in witnessing someone reconnect with their own capacity for healing and wellbeing. It is a privilege I never take for granted.
Sometimes all we need is to become still enough to hear ourselves again.
I often describe my approach as combining the science of sound with the art of healing. While my work is grounded in a deep understanding of sound, frequency and musical intervals, I also recognise that healing is deeply personal and cannot be reduced to a formula.
No two sessions are ever the same. Even when I'm working with the same person, each session unfolds differently because we are never exactly the same from one day to the next. Every session reveals another layer, creating space for greater awareness, release and, ultimately, a deeper reconnection with ourselves.
Rather than following rigid protocols, I allow each session to evolve naturally, drawing on both knowledge and intuition to support what is needed in that moment.
Guests often ask how I know what I share with them at the end of a session. I always tell them the same thing: I don't believe the answers come from me. I believe we each carry an inner wisdom that often becomes obscured by the noise of everyday life. Through the stillness created by sound, we have the opportunity to reconnect with that deeper knowing. When that happens, healing, growth and transformation can begin to unfold naturally.
This philosophy also shapes the way I teach. Whether I'm teaching therapists, wellness practitioners or individuals who are simply curious to explore sound, my focus is on the practical and effective application of sound. Grounded, accessible and free from unnecessary mysticism.
Today, my work spans across three areas.
I work with individuals through one-to-one sound sessions, collaborate with luxury wellness destinations to design bespoke treatments and deliver visiting practitioner residencies, and train wellness professionals and aspiring practitioners in the therapeutic application of sound.
One of the highlights of my journey has been developing Vibrational Sound Therapy in collaboration with Capella Singapore, which was recognised with the Best Holistic Wellness Experience award at the ICON2024 Spa Awards.
Alongside my private practice, I've facilitated sound sessions for organisations, schools and international events including ILTM Asia Pacific and IBTM World, helping more people experience the benefits of sound for wellbeing.
